Degas -Ballet Musical Jewelry Box

One of Degas’s favorite portrayals of the beauty of the ballet, Dress Rehearsal of the Ballet 1874. An artful ballet music box of burl wood with a glossy finish. Inlay is a reproduction image of the Edgar Degas painting “Ballet Rehearsal on Stage” The interior of the box is fully-lined with light-tan flocking, even under the lid. Winds-up at bottom.
